Sell your home: can you afford to have bad photos on your listings?

No, I am not making this up. These are a few actual photos found several days ago on the NTREIS (North Texas MLS system). Really, what do you think of the first photo? First is that the agent does not care how he or she presents this home online. You also, as a buyer, might think this is a lower end home, the agent can not afford a good photographer or spend a little time to correct or re-take the image. The second photograph is confusing - is he really selling a home or the driveway paved stone? The third photograph is highlighting the chair and making it look as if the room is really small.

Today the home buying process starts online in 90% of the time.
  1. The buyer searches online by location and price. This is done with or without agent's help.
  2. The very first impression they get about a  home - is the main photo
  3. If they like what they see they contact their agent.
  4. The agent sets up showings they make an offer
  5. The agent orchestrates the process from the time offer is submitted to the closing table.
  6. Transaction completed! Hurray!
