Corinth TX homes for sale: homeowners do not wait for better times to put their home on the market
and selling do not scare Corinth, TX homeowners. Sellers put their
homes on the maket at the same if not faster pace as year or two
before. Novermber and December being historically the slowest months
in real estate market, do show normal ups and downs. With less homes
to chose from - motivated buyers, such as out of state relocation, or
sellers who got their homes under contract and must find a new one are
significantly more pressed to put an offer. While the deals are easier
to find this time of the year, sellers who think they might get more
for their home early in the year might be in for a (negative)
surprise. Foreclosure delays are expected to add more inventory on the
market affecting some areas more than others.

FM 2499 - Grand Opening
Section 4 of FM 2499 in Highland Village is nearing completion and will open to the public on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Section 4 includes the much-anticipated bridge that will connect FM 2499 in Highland Village with FM 2181 in the City of Corinth, traversing a portion of Lake Lewisville. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned in conjunction with the City and the County to be held the morning of October 30, prior to the official opening of the road. You are invited and encouraged to attend the event before driving across the new bridge.
The expansion of FM 2499, Section 4 through Highland Village from FM 407 to FM 2181 was awarded to Ed Bell Construction Company with an anticipated completion date of July 2011. Ed Bell Construction finished the project ahead of schedule with the opening now set for October 30. FM 2499 Section 4 is a four-lane divided urban arterial from FM 407 to FM 2181 in southern Denton County. The roadway would be a non-controlled access facility, 4.7 miles in length, with intersections at existing crossing roads. It will travel through or abut the City of Highland Village, the Town of Copper Canyon, unincorporated Denton County land, the Town of Corinth, and USACE land and water associated with the Poindexter and Hickory Creek Branches of Lewisville Lake.

Changes to FHA Mortgage Insurance Premiums
Interesting changes with FHA Mortgage Insurance will take place on Monday. Based on FHA Case Number assignments on or after October 4, 2010, FHA will lower its upfront MIP and simultaneously increase the annual premium collected on a monthly basis. The changes look like this:
Current Upfront MIP "New" Upfront MIP
Purchase – 2.25% Purchase – 1.00%
Refi – 2.25% Refi – 1.00%
Current Monthly MIP Charges
= or <95% ltv and amort greater than 15 years - .50%
>95% ltv and amort greather than 15 years - .55%
= or <90% ltv and = or < amort – 0%
>90% ltv and = or <15 amort - .25%
"New" Monthly MIP Charges
= or <95% ltv and amort greater than 15 years - .85%
>95% ltv and amort greater than 15 years - .90%
